The United States Postal Service is closing its offices on Thursday, Jan. 9, and no mail will be delivered to Colorado residents that day, the agency announced Tuesday.

DENVER (KDVR) — The United States Postal Service is closing its offices on Thursday, Jan. 9, and mail will not be delivered to Colorado residents, the agency announced Tuesday.

The Postal Service is suspending its regular mail delivery, retail services and office activity on Thursday in recognition of the national day of observance to honor former President Jimmy Carter, whose state funeral will be held at the National Cathedral.
