Douglas County, Colo. (KDVR) — The U.S. Department of Justice is investigating the Douglas County School District, stemming from several complaints over the years centered on racial discrimination, harassment and policies dealing with children with disabilities.
The DOJ is currently in Colorado speaking with families like Lacey Ganzy’. Her two children Nevaeh and Jeramiah Ganzy were two of four students listed in a 2023 complaint against the district. The complaint states they were victims of extreme racial discrimination and were harassed by fellow students.
