‘Profound failure’: Garfield County asks CPW to mitigate wolf impacts

Garfield County is pushing back on Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s release of gray wolves on the Western Slope.

GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) – Garfield County is pushing back on Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s release of gray wolves on the Western Slope.

In a letter sent to CPW and Gov. Jared Polis, Garfield County Commissioners requested the halt of all wolf releases to confirm the program is working and that ranchers’ impacts are mitigated.
