Monday kicks off the start of tax season, but people filing in Colorado will have to wait a few weeks before state income taxes are released.

DENVER (KDVR) — Monday kicks off the start of tax season, but people filing in Colorado will have to wait a few weeks before state income taxes are released.

The Internal Revenue Service said taxpayers can start filing their federal taxes on Monday, Jan. 27, leaving people with almost three months to fill out their necessary forms. While federal taxes can be filed, Colorado state taxes will have to wait.
