DENVER (KDVR) — About 10,000 workers in Colorado’s Front Range, including 8,000 workers in the Denver metro area, are preparing to vote on a potential strike starting Wednesday.
The votes come after King Soopers presented what the company is calling the “last, best and final offer” and said it would put more money into workers’ paychecks while keeping grocery prices down. Meanwhile, UFCW Local 7 leaders said the offer “failed to engage on the most important Union proposals” and called it “unlawful” in the union’s announcement of upcoming strike votes.
