Mid-February winter storm brings almost half a foot of snow to parts of Colorado

Temperatures hit above 60 degrees at the start of February, but the warm weather didn’t last as a winter storm moved into the state, leaving almost half a foot of snow in some areas across Colorado.

DENVER (KDVR) — Temperatures hit above 60 degrees at the start of February, but the warm weather didn’t last as a winter storm moved into the state, leaving almost half a foot of snow in some areas across Colorado.

A winter storm moved into Colorado on Tuesday with below-freezing temperatures and light flakes throughout the day. The storm left hundreds of flights delayed at the Denver International Airport and preemptively pushed school start times back on Wednesday.
