You could soon see a Colorado gold mine from the sky in Idaho Springs

Colorado’s sky-high views have been wondered at from the ground and the sky, and a new cable car project at The Argo Mill and Tunnel will provide a new view experience — as well as trail access.

DENVER (KDVR) — Colorado’s sky-high views have been wondered at from the ground and the sky, and a new cable car project at The Argo Mill and Tunnel will provide a new view experience — as well as trail access.

The Argo Mill and Tunnel began in 1893 as miners hunted for gold, according to historical scholars. The mine operated for over 80 years, pulling over $200 million worth of ore deposits from the mountainside. The mill is now operated as a historic and educational site, providing tours of the mine where much of the original equipment is still in place.
