DENVER (KDVR) — Coloradans are encouraged to prepare for potential upcoming fire risks, with an above-normal potential for fire expected in southwestern Colorado and a normal fire potential expected across much of the rest of the state through July.
Just under half of Coloradans live in an area at risk of wildfire, according to the Colorado State Forest Service, which said it is “imperative” for those who live around natural vegetation to take action to be prepared.
