DENVER (KDVR) — Colorado’s Division of Homeland Security Emergency Management is warning Colorado counties and emergency workers that a federal grant program will likely not be funded this year, impacting not just state services, but county staffing and programs as well.
The DHSEM said Monday that the Emergency Management Performance Grant Program may not be fulfilled in 2025. The grant award is approximately $6 million, which DHSEM said supports 24 full-time staff members and also supports 50% of 55 county emergency management programs in Colorado.
