DENVER (KDVR) — Colorado Parks and Wildlife is calling the 2025 Blue Mesa Lake Trout Tournament a “banner year” and said it was the best tournament since it began in 2020.
The four-month tournament began on New Year’s Day and ended on April 30, with anglers aiming to turn in the most lake trout that measured at least 24 inches. This year, the tournament netted 2,770 heads, and anglers were vying for $10,000 cash prizes.
