This Colorado city is a finalist for a national civic engagement award for sustainability

Englewood, one of Denver’s neighbors to the south, is a finalist for the National Civic League’s “All-America City Award,” which honors cities across the U.S. for excellence in local innovation, civic engagement and cross-sector collaboration.

DENVER (KDVR) — Many Colorado cities face rising environmental issues: extreme weather like wildfires and snowstorms, regular air quality concerns, and health risks among marginalized communities.

One Colorado city’s strategic plan to combat some of these environmental issues for its residents is being recognized nationally. Englewood, one of Denver’s neighbors to the south, is a finalist for the National Civic League’s “All-America City Award,” which honors cities across the U.S. for excellence in local innovation, civic engagement and cross-sector collaboration.
