Utah’s 10K acre wildfire threatens to cross Colorado border

DENVER (KDVR) — The Deer Creek Fire broke out in Utah on Thursday. It’s already burned more than 10,000 acres, and it could be heading into Colorado.

On Thursday, a wildfire started about 18 miles south of Moab, Utah. As of Monday morning, the wildfire has stretched 10,058 acres and is 0% contained. While it’s in Utah, the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control said “extreme fire behavior” could push the Deer Creek Fire over the Colorado border.
