DENVER (KDVR) — A wildfire burning since Thursday in Mesa County has exploded in size overnight, more than quadrupling to 8,140 acres as of Tuesday morning.
The Turner Gulch Fire is burning near the town of Gateway on Unaweep Canyon along with another fire, the Wright Draw Fire, which is measured at around 341 acres. Officials updated the official fire page on InciWeb Tuesday morning just after 8:30 a.m. with the latest acreage.
