DENVER (KDVR) — Colorado Parks and Wildlife said Wednesday that necropsy results provided by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services show that one wolf was killed by a mountain lion, while the second appears to have died after being injured by a foothold trap.
The first wolf, a female gray wolf located in Rocky Mountain National Park on April 20, was found to have died from injuries “from an apparent mountain lion attack.”
