A more-than-decade-old case was brought to the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday against Aurora’s privately run immigration detention center. The original lawsuit was filed by a former detainee of the ICE detention facility, Alejandro Menocal, in 2014.
According to Menocal, who was held at the detention center for four months, he and other detainees were forced to do manual labor for $1 a day and were threatened with solitary confinement if they refused.
